LONDON
CATFORD BROADWAY THEATRE (SOUTH EAST)
As a Catford resident since 2002, I feel priviledged to have a Broadway Theater in my neighbourhood. Despite the reputation projected onto the public, the borough of Lewisham has always been a center of art and culture, that has seen the likes of Sir Gary Oldman, Malcolm Hardee and many more surge from its roots. The gentrification of London continues to alter the face of our borough, threatening local artistic spaces and its artists. The Catford Broadway Theatre is home to unique global history: built in 1932, temporarily a shelter for air raids during the WWII, a space in the 50s and 60s where US legends such as Dizzy Gillepsie and the Four Tops came to perform. Since 1991, the Black Theatre initiative pushed for Black led shows, actors and performances, which led the Black community to become the critical success and continuity of the Broadway Theatre. There is no better time to support the world of theaters than now, and the Catford Broadway Theatre would love to see you!

JUMBI (SOUTH EAST)
Jumbi is a Black-owned event space and restaurant dedicated to Black music, culture and Afro-Caribbean gastronomy in Peckham! It was built by local Peckham legend Bradley Zero, whom I dedicate this to. He was part of the Boiler Room’s crew running events in North & East London back in early 2010s, and connected me with London and South-East artists and music professionals. Bradley has been an essential pillar of the development of Peckham’s night scene and culture: he celebrated this year 15 years of Rhythm Section, his music series and record label, and continues to be one of the best residents of Peckham based Gala Festival and runs the incredible Jumbi! Drop by for a mash of delightful food and warm sounds.

I have included their current exhibition by Moridja Kitenge Banza, an incredible contemporary Congolese Nigerian artist and singer, through Under All Arts. EBONYLIFE PLACE (SOUTH)
EbonyLife Place is a Black-owned cinema decicated to African films, movies, culture and art, which just opened its door this October 9th 2026 in Nine Elms (near Brixton)! It was built from the ground by an incredible Nigerian woman, Mo Abudu, selected by TIME in 2025 as one of Earth’s 100 Most Influential People of the year! This cinema is one of its kind, deserving its full support as one of the life-changing environments built by a leader of the black community. MONSIEUR ANTOINE (EAST)
Monsieur Antoine was created by Vincent Pinceloup over a decade ago, placed at the junction of Voltaire, Parmentier and Oberkampf. BERLIN
LA REMISE – FLUGMODUS RECORD SHOP (SOUTH EAST)
La Remise and Flugmodus Record Shop are two connected collectives built by a group of French DJs, producers and record collectors in Berlin. True spirits of the underground, their address remains hidden from the public and can be accessed through private messaging, allowing diggers and collectors to come together for private and inclusive sessions. Decades worth of records have been collected by Leiris and Thomas S, two dedicated talented DJs from Toulouse, whom I had the pleasure of being part of the FinowZoo collective. Both I have witnessed in action more than I can count, whilst also having shared the decks on very special occasions and their gigography speaks in volumes. I invite you to reach out to connect with Louis, the head of La Remise and explore each incredible community.
